At the time, PopMatters said of the album, "For those mourning the loss of Jellyfish, Beulah, Blur, or the sounds of XTC's or Squeeze's heydays, purchasing this album is a direct order, and not up for debate." The album has sold over 40,000 copies, and counting, worldwide.

    This is a very limited edition pressing of just 1,000 copies worldwide.

Ask Brooklyn’s Jukebox the Ghost why their third album is called Safe Travels, on a
surface level, it’s likely they’ll tell you about a song by Austin’s Red Hunter, who
performs as Peter and the Wolf. The song’s from his 2006 album Lightness and the band
became enamored with it to a point where it soon morphed into a road mantra.
